Jean Van Damme, co-founder and CEO of ESTER, found his passion for flavor as child, which led him to a career in food science and retail innovation.
In 2018, Jean co-founded ESTER, the Flavor Intelligence Platform, that puts flavor at the heart of beer and wine retail and production.
Today, thanks to strong academic partnerships with the Verstrepen lab at the University of Leuven and Cornell University, ESTER has grown into a multidisciplinary team of scientists, data engineers, developers, and UX experts.
We're on a mission to use the latest science and machine learning technology to bring innovation to the food system—especially craft brewers, wineries, and retailers of all sizes.
